Safety policy

For your safety, please read and understand the following safety guidelines. Never misuse a tool. Improper use of a tool will shorten its life. Always wear safety goggles to protect eyes. Keep your tools clean. Never use a broken tool. Keep all tools out of the reach of children.

AccuTorq®:
Wear protective goggles. Never hold with hands while tightening. Never use torque sockets to remove lug nuts. When tightening lug nuts, use the criss-cross wheel nut tightening sequence.

Battery Chargers:
Wear protective goggles. Charger must be OFF when connecting or disconnecting leads. Do not smoke, strike a match or cause a spark in vicinity of battery during charging. All clamps and connections should be tight and clean. Replace defective cords and wires immediately. Do not start car with charger clips connected to battery.

Grinders, Grinding Wheels and Air Tool Accessories:
Wear protective goggles. Do not operate power tools at speeds that exceed their maximum rated rpm. Power tool accessories can break, causing particles to fly. Avoid injury by using eye shields and guards.

Hammers:
Wear protective goggles. Always use a hammer that is suitable for the job. Head diameter should always exceed the object being struck, such as a punch or chisel. Do not strike a tool that shows distress.

KTIp.s.t.® or TIPS® TPMS Activation Tool
Product emits magnetic and electromagnetic waves that may interfere with the safe operation of pacemakers. Individuals who have pacemakers should never use this product. Do not use any harsh chemical solvents to clean tool. Do not use tool where contact or immersion in water is possible. Never spill liquid of any kind on the tool. Do not use or store the tool where it is exposed to direct sunlight or excessive moisture. Do not operate tool in the vicinity of open containers or flammable liquids. Do not operate tool with battery cover removed.

Lifting Equipment:
Do not exceed the rated capacity of jack or jack stands. Use jacks only on strong level surfaces. Collapse of lifting equipment can cause serious injury. Do not work on a vehicle supported by a jack, use jack stands.

MEGAHAMMER®:
Lock nut on hub removal tool must be tight to protect against thread damage. Slide shaft thread to be engaged into base plate thread so it is flush with inside edge of base plate thread. Use countersunk holes ONLY for proper grip on studs. Use outboard support to help prevent tool and wheel assembly for dropping to floor. Do not stand behind tool when in use. Tool is heavy. Use extreme caution when lifting. Keep extremities clear of pinch points. Always wear eye protection when using hub removal tool. Locking pin must be in place when not in use. Not responsible for damage to vehicle.

Pliers:
Wear protective goggles. Broken tips or cut material can fly.

Power Tools:
Wear protective goggles. Always read instructions before using a power tool. Flying particles can cause injury. Use hearing protection when exposed to noise for prolonged periods of time. Do not abuse power tools.

Pry bars:
Wear protective goggles. Do not strike a pry bar. Pry bars may cause loose material to fly. Do not use if chipped or cracked.

Pullers:
Wear protective goggles. Be sure that center screw threads are clean and well lubricated. Be sure the puller is seated properly, do not use on an angle. Do not overstress the puller, always use the largest size possible to do the job efficiently. Never use a puller with worn or damaged parts.

Punches/Chisels:
Always wear protective goggles. Regrind a dull chisel to its original shape when the cutting edge becomes dull. Use a punch or chisel holder to prevent injury. Never use a broken punch or chisel.

Ratchets:
Ratchet mechanism may slip or break if parts are worn or dirty. Frequently clean and lubricate.

Screwdrivers:
Wear protective goggles. Never use a screwdriver for prying, punching, chiseling or scraping. Be sure tip width and thickness are appropriate for slot size.

Sockets (Hand):
Wear protective goggles. Be sure to always choose the appropriate type of socket based on its application. Do not use hand sockets on power tools.

Sockets (Impact):
Wear protective goggles. Flexible sockets and swivel joint tools rotate under power during use and should not be held. Using broken tools can cause serious injury.

Spray Guns:
Wear protective goggles.

Tie Downs/Stretch Cords:
Wear protective goggles when stretching, fastening or releasing hooks. A rebounding hook is dangerous. Do not use if product appears frayed or worn, or if the hook has been bent or otherwise tampered with. Do not stretch a stretch cord beyond 50% of its unstretched length. Do not expose to extreme stress or incorrect use. Do not exceed the maximum working load.

Tow Straps/Ropes:
Do not expose to extreme stress or incorrect use. Working load requirement should be evaluated by user before choosing the appropriate assembly. Always check anchor points. Never use if webbing is worn or frayed.

Wrenches:
Wear protective goggles. Do not over-torque. Avoid excess force on crowfoot or flare nut wrenches. Always use correct size.
